Crossover Nordic
About Crossover Nordic
Crossover Nordic will bring together Nordic independent artists, writers, filmmakers, animators, game designers and new media producers with the aim of developing innovative digital and interactive projects that embrace the growth of broadband and other emerging distribution platforms.
Twenty experienced and established professionals from different sectors of the Nordic audio-visual industries will be selected by an expert committee to engage in a five days, rapid development ‘laboratory’ at an all-inclusive residential retreat on the Swedish West Coast, in Västra Götaland, Sweden from the 15-19 September.
The lab will be led by world-leading mentor Frank Boyd of Unexpected Media and all participants will work in different groups, alongside international experts on the development of project pitches for groundbreaking cross platform interactive projects.
The lab is designed to explore the possibilities of interactivity within the context of broader bandwidth and the main focus will be brainstorming and collaborative thinking across the different media sectors.
During the week a number of commissioners will join the lab and at the end of the week a pitch of the results will be held in front of a panel of commissioners from various media sectors.
A Final pitch of the ideas developed in the lab will be held at the Financing Forum at the Nordisk Panorama Festival in Malmö on the 28th of September. The pitch will take place in front of a panel of commissioners from different media sectors and one of the groups projects are eligible to win a development prize of 100 000 SEK.
In conjunction to the pitch at Nordisk Panorama a seminar about success factors in delivering Cross media projects will be held the 27th of September.
