This two day warm-up lab  will be primarily participatory  and highly interactive consisting of creative group exercises designed  to:

- Break down walls between the various professional silos

- Establish the best possible environment for creative collaboration by developing common language and perspective among professionals

- Build shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities for documentary and factual story telling in a rapidly evolving media ecology

- Foster new collaborations and business opportunities esp. considering new funding opportunities and requirements

The docSHIFT Crossover Weekend will be open to 30 selected participants and will be held from 9AM -5pm in Toronto at the Centre for Social Innovation. The docSHIFT Crossover Weekend  is being co-produced with our major docSHIFT partners including the CFC Media Lab and Hot Docs. It is being designed to compliment the Leave Your Walls at the Door workshops offered at Hot Docs 2010. (docSHIFT Crossover Weekend application deadline and criteria listed below).
