Sophia runs the online youth engagement events I'm a Scientist, Get me out of Here! and I'm a Councillor, Get me out of Here!, as well as the I'm a Scientist Debate Kits project for schools. What she really cares about is breaking down barriers to get conversations going, and getting young people asking questions (perhaps surprisingly, this is proving popular with teachers - so far).

Sophia's background is in science communication, mainly for TV, with some time spent working for the Science Museum and a smattering of writing for print. She has a degree in Pharmacology from Edinburgh and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial.
