Marc Goodchild was an early convert when interactive TV first kicked off in the UK over five years ago. Already an award-winning television producer, Marc wrestled with the limited technologies being developed for the early BBC Sports services to scope, shoot and implement the world's first factual interactive TV programme: ‘Walking With Beasts’. The production won him a BAFTA and Marc went on to head up a dedicated interactive TV production unit for BBC Factual Output.

Commissioning the Future

Commissioning The Future is the new European training initiative for commissioning editors and funders, developed by Crossover (UK) in partnership with Documentary Campus (Germany) and Sheffield Doc/Fest (UK).

We strongly believe that it is vital to train the decision-makers in order for the convergent marketplace to really thrive. Therefore we have developed this new European training course offering three five-day long creative and commercial innovation labs, focused on commissioning for the emerging convergent digital media ecology.
